Her are many aspects that can be hectic when being with ISP. So you must consider following issues:

Big doesn't prove better
A bigger ISP with millions of use doesn't prove it a better provider; a smaller ISP with a few thousand customers could be a better bet, especially for a dial-up account or a small business.

Bigger can be better, of course, if you need a single source for multiple services. A provider that offers just about everything under the sun: dial-up, DSL, T1, wireless services, and more should be better.

Remain known
When choosing your ISP beware because some ISPs might be acquired or sold. Some bigger ISPs like EarthLink and MSN, buying smaller ISPs in order o stay competitive. So if you can then avoid such smaller ISPs that can b soled or acquired.
