Pros The most important issues in a host for me are support and reliability. Affordability is relative, in my opinion, Hostgator prices are more than fair for the 24/7 chat/email/phone support plus their great uptime.
Cons I've used a reseller account since I joined due to having a lot of websites - so I cannot speak for the uptime of their regular or dedicated hosting plans: but again the support is great.
Who should use Hostgator.com LLC? There is not one web host that is perfect all the time. You'll undoubtedly have issues of some capacity with any host you choose; however, Hostgator has worked well for me and I am a pretty demanding customer. If Hostgator will work for this needy webmaster, I'm pretty certain that they will more than meet the needs of most other full time/part time webmasters.
